Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly presented 20-minute vows to each other during their wedding ceremony.
An inside source revealed on Sunday that the couple's vows brought Kelce to tears.
The source also shared that Paul McCartnery and Stevie Knicks performed for Swift and Kelce at the reception.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have officially tied the knot. As details about the high-profile ceremony continue to unfurl, fans can't help but wonder what it was like to be among the likes of Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, and Emma Stone at the most-anticipated celebrity gathering of 2026. On July 5, an inside source revealed one surprising detail about Swift and Kelce's wedding ceremony that reportedly left the groom in tears.
While wedding vows typically last about one to three minutes per person, Swift and Kelce took their time celebrating one another on their big day. "Their vows were about 20 minutes each," the source told People on Sunday, adding that the couple provided embroidered handkerchiefs for their guests—which proved to be necessary—in the event of any emotional moments during the ceremony. Swift—dressed in a custom Christian Dior wedding gown—reportedly read her lengthy vows from a gold book, bringing Kelce to tears, per NBC News. Kelce's vows were equally long, bringing the vow reading alone to well over half an hour.
The unique vow arrangement saw both Swift and Kelce deliver 20-minute speeches celebrating their love and commitment to one another. "It really was intimate," Good Morning America's Robin Roberts said of the vow exchange in a clip shared to X on Saturday. While discussing the vows with her cohosts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan, Roberts added that Swift and Kelce's neighbors and high school friends were also among the attendees. "It's hard to imagine that a place that big and a wedding with such stars could feel so personal and intimate [but it was]," agreed Stephanopoulos.
In addition to the couple's tear-jerking vows, guests were also mesmerized by the secret garden-themed decor. "Taylor walked down the aisle to a stage where they said 'I do,'" the People source explained. They added that the venue looked like a forest sprinkled in white, complete with real trees and ferns. In honor of the couple's long-anticipated nuptials, multiple event crews transformed Madison Square Garden into a romantic wonderland featuring a purple carpet and dreamy decor.
"After the ceremony, Taylor's mom invited everyone into the reception room where a stage was set up," they said. The reception reportedly offered multiple bars and food stations, which featured bites such as sushi and Italian cuisine. "It was very crowded!" the source said, referring to the venue, which typically holds around 22,000 concertgoers, according to the MSG website.
Once Swift and Kelce had officially tied the knot, a nearby billboard illuminated the skyline with the words, "JusT&T Married!"

Paul McCartney brought a little Beatles mania to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding.
The musician, 84, performed the band's No. 1 hit "I Want to Hold Your Hand" at the couple's star-studded reception at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, July 3, a source confirms exclusively to PEOPLE."After the ceremony, Taylor's mom Andrea invited everyone into the reception room where the stage was set up," says the source, who adds that Stevie Nicks — who has been a friend and mentor to Swift for years — also performed.Reps for Swift, McCartney and Nicks have not responded to requests for comment from PEOPLE.
Swift, 36, and McCartney, meanwhile, have made no secret of their mutual admiration for each other. They previously appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone together in 2020.More recently, Swift reshared an Instagram post from the legendary British singer about his new album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane. Alongside the post on June 2, she praised McCartney as an "eternally exceptional artist" and said she was "never not inspired" by him.Her post came days after the Beatles star was asked during an interview if he would give Swift any advice on navigating the same level of global fame he has achieved in his own music career."You do see the parallel, you know the fame and the amount of fame," McCartney said in a conversation with BBC Sounds.
"The worldwide fame that Taylor Swift has and that we had, but I don't think she needs any advice to tell you the truth," he continued with a laugh.McCartney later reiterated that if Swift asked him for advice, he would "definitely" oblige."I'm like the older brother to that generation, or more like the grandad, actually," he said.Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

Tour tradition — on his way to his seat at the venue.Swift returned the favor two years later, attending McCartney's intimate concert at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on March 28.
It's been two days since Taylor Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce, and some of their superstar friends have started giving us tantalising glimpses into what it was like.About 1,000 names were reportedly on the guest list, including some of the biggest celebrities from music, Hollywood and sport.Details of the wedding had been a closely guarded secret, with guests assumed to be under instructions not to give away details or photos. The couple are also yet to release any photos from the event. But following Friday night's bash at New York's Madison Square Gardens, big names such as BBC Radio 1 DJ Greg James and Sin City star Jessica Alba have been posting online, confirming they attended and congratulating the pop sensation and her Super Bowl champion husband.Others have been more cryptic, sharing images of their outfits set to Swift's tracks which strongly suggest they were at the wedding. Here's who was there, and who we think was there - and what they've been saying about it.
'We love love'
Actress Jessica Alba was among those who didn't hold back from confirming her attendance, as she shared a photo of the outfit she donned for the big day in a story on her Instagram account.
"We love love," she wrote, along with a selfie of herself in a slinky black Prada gown. "Congrats to T&T - such a beautiful night celebrating you."
The picture was set to Swift's song, Love Story, while another post, set to The Fate of Ophelia, took her fans behind-the-scenes as she and her partner Danny Ramirez got ready for the nuptials.
'Oh my god, what a night'
Breakfast show host James, whom Swift invited to the wedding live on his programme, also confirmed he was there, posting on Instagram on Saturday: "Just&t to say: true to her word, of course the invitation arrived and of course I couldn't tell anyone.
"And oh my god, what an unbelievably brilliant night."
He also indicated that he was feeling the after-effects of a big night of partying, writing: "I am currently experiencing the world's greatest hangover and unable to reply to the hilarious number of messages I have received over the last 24 hours."
James wasn't the only one apparently suffering from a few too many drinks after the wedding.
The actress and singer Suki Waterhouse posted a story on Sunday, with the Francis Bacon quote: "I often work best with a hangover because my mind is crackling with energy and I can think very clearly."
Waterhouse also shared a carousel of photos from her time in New York, including a selfie of her in a silver gown in a car, with the caption: "NYC, land of love."
While she didn't say she was definitely at the wedding, she had previously confirmed she was on the guestlist for her friend Swift's wedding earlier this year in an interview with Variety.
"I'm gonna go to Taylor's wedding, and maybe I'll get some inspiration," she said, in a reference to her own upcoming nuptials to Robert Pattinson. "It will be amazing."
Other stars who took to social media to share photos of their outfits include Severance actor Adam Scott, who posted a picture of himself with fellow actor Paul Rudd along with the caption "T&T" and two love hearts.
Actress Niecy Nash posted a video of her car journey to Madison Square Gardens alongside her wife, singer-songwriter, Jessica Betts, along with photos of herself in a strapless floor-length blue gown.
"The Betts pulled up to the Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift wedding. A time was had. The love in the room was palpable," she wrote.

"Wowwwwwww is the best way to describe it. From beginning to end, no detail was spared! Congrats! Welcome to the club!"
'Like living in the internet'
Music video director Joseph Kahn, who helmed a number of Swift's videos including Bad Blood and Look What You Made Me Do, also took to Instagram over the weekend to say he had had a "wonderful" time at the wedding."I got to meet Steven Spielberg and the lovely Kate Capshaw and talk filmmaking with the GOAT (lifelong dream achieved)," he revealed.
"What I will say about the wedding was it was so much funnier and emotional than expected, and as big as it was, it also felt very intimate. And yes, literally everyone was there," he said, adding that it was "like living in the internet".Other A-list attendees seen either entering or leaving the wedding included Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Hugh Grant, Gracie Abrams, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hanks, Millie Bobby Brown, Ellie Goulding, Graham Norton and Dakota Johnson. Many more drove straight in and out, away from the view of media and photographers. The bridegroom's mother was, of course, in attendance - and in a Macy's department store post about their 4 July fireworks posted on Sunday, Donna Kelce was asked about the wedding.
A number of other stars have posted big hints that they were there including the actress and singer-songwriter Toni Collette, who posted a picture of herself in a floral sleeveless dress set to Swift's Paper Rings. She later responded to the post from Adam Scott saying it had "been so good to see you guys. What a night!"
The look was echoed by fellow actress and singer Fergie, who captioned a photo of herself looking glamorous against a New York background: "Got to play dress up in Vintage Christian Dior by Galliano & celebrate love."
Meanwhile, country singer Maren Morris shared a number of videos on her Instagram of a group of guests travelling together in their finest outfits while singing Swift track Love Story, alongside the caption, one of the song's lyrics, "baby just say yes".
The photos end with an image that some of the other guests might also be able to relate to, showing her sitting in a blanket on a plane with dark sunglasses on.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are married! And their ceremony and reception make the royal wedding look like an intimate family gathering. The couple invited 1,000 guests to their celebration at Madison Square Garden, and you better believe each of them came away with a party favor.
Maren Morris dropped pics of her look from the wedding on Instagram, and the last slide included a glimpse of the party favor Tay and Trav handed out: a sweet handkerchief embroidered with their wedding day and Tay's lyric "so it's gonna be forever" from "Blank Space."
Taylor and Travis also gave gifts to guests who attended their 100-person rehearsal dinner, which were slightly more lux. Family and friends were spotted leaving with a mysterious velvet gift box embossed with Taylor and Travis's initials with two hearts (the same logo that's on the handkerchief), with a single large champagne flute encrusted with real diamonds inside. Per Page Six, "the boxes were presented with an image of what appeared to be the garden from the couple's famed engagement photos printed on frayed fabric placed on top."
Paul McCartney reportedly performed the Beatles classic “I Want to Hold Your Hand” live for the first time since 1964 at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Madison Square Garden wedding reception.
McCartney, like Stevie Nicks, was among the A-list performers at the couple’s wedding, and People reports that McCartney used the special occasion to play a song he hadn’t performed live since the Beatles’ early days, and a hit he never touched live as a solo artist.
“After the ceremony, Taylor’s mom Andrea invited everyone into the reception room where the stage was set up,” a source told People.
According to setlist.fm, the last time McCartney performed “I Want to Hold Your Hand” live was on September 20, 1964 at the Beatles’ concert at New York’s Paramount Theatre. The track remained unplayed by him for 62 years, until the Swift wedding.
McCartney and Swift, who appeared together on the cover of Rolling Stone’s Musicians on Musicians issue in 2020, have long praised each other’s work, with McCartney saying the weeks leading up to the wedding that Swift’s fame rivals that of the Beatles’.
